Annabel Angel, 25, took up golf at the age of two and began competing three years later.
She led the Essex Girls’ Team to success in the County Championships in 2014, and competed against men while at Loughborough University.
Following graduation, the influencer has spent more time on social media.
Besides her job as a presenter at LIV Golf tournaments, Annabel also leads a huge following on Instagram, which she uses to track her own progress.
As she explained to the New York Post : “I started my golf account as a way of tracking my own golfing progress.
“I had no intention of it ever expanding into something bigger. It has now, and I’m just sharing my progress on a wider scale, which is fantastic.
“I think that’s what people really enjoy about my account.”
Her dad, who played professionally, inspired Annabel to take up golf.
As a golf influencer, she is happy there are female role models for young golfers to look up to, such as Spiranac, who has almost 4 million followers on Instagram.
As Annabel explained: “My whole family plays, my dad’s a golf professional, so he taught me from a young age.
“I think I picked up a club probably at age two. I used to have the mini plastic ones, and I had a cut down wooden one, which I still have, which is quite sweet.
“I think there are some amazing golf figures out there that are really sharing kind of women’s perspective on golf, and that’s amazing to have more female role models out there for other girls wanting to take up golf.”
