Rihanna is asked to stop wearing fur in a letter from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) | ‘You have so much,’

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent Rihanna a letter with an offer they think she can’t refuse…

Rihanna has been asked to change her look and abandon her fur coats

Seeing as the Diamonds singer was recently spotted in a fur coat, PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange felt compelled to pen the open letter. There was a copy of the letter sent to TMZ.

The charity initially penned a letter to Rihanna’s mother, who they hoped would listen to their cause: ‘As a mother, you know what it’s like to feel protective and to want to make sure no harm comes to your family.’

‘Please understand that this desire — this instinct even — is shared by minks, foxes and rabbits who are torn away from their families and killed for fur. ‘

The dispatch pointed out that it’s now illegal to sell fur in California and designers such as ‘Chanel, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Valentino have banned it.’

They encouraged Rihanna, who has worn many furs during her career, to ‘help create a kinder world for your children to grow up in by deciding today that you’ll no longer wear fur.’

The animal rights group advocated for the Lift Me Up musician by suggesting she give any remaining furs to those affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Thousands of locals have been displaced, and they must now contend with the harsh elements of winter without shelter.

‘You have so much,’ PETA wrote, ‘won’t you please spare the animals who ask for nothing more but to be left alone to live with their loved ones, free from electrocutions, gassings and beatings that are the standard in the fur industry, and donate your furs to a good cause?’

‘We’re also sending along a beautiful faux fur coat from Unreal Fur to help you stay warm and fashionable while making the cruelty-free switch.’

Australian firm also produces faux cashmere and vegan leather outerwear. Products range from $0 to $519.

The Academy Award nominee has not commented on her plans to fulfill this request.

Animal rights organization PETA has recently singled out actor Joe McHale, calling his show, Animal Control, ‘a sickening soup of animal exploitation’ and urging viewers to stop watching it on Fox.
